Who invented Musac and why? I’ll never understand who thought we had the need for non-descript, quasi-jazz-orchestral music to come from disembodied speakers. Maybe it’s a generational thing. It is an aesthetic that just doesn’t translate for me - like big hair, lot’s of makeup, soft porn, pro wrestling (at least the free stuff I see on TV), giant boobs, Applebee’s, or any other mark of the bland suburbs.
